What is the difference between Supreme Court and High Court writ jurisdiction?

Writ & Administrative Law

Both courts can issue writs for fundamental-right enforcement and certain legal-right/public-interest matters, but their constitutional jurisdictions are not identical.

The Supreme Court also has the constitutional power under Article 133(1) to declare a law void where it is inconsistent with the Constitution. High Court jurisdiction under Article 144 does not duplicate that constitutional-invalidity power in the same form.
