Is there a fixed limitation period for every writ petition?

Writ & Administrative Law

No single universal limitation period applies to every writ petition in the same way as an ordinary statutory appeal.

However, unreasonable delay can seriously weaken extraordinary relief. Courts can refuse discretionary writ relief where the petitioner slept on their rights without justification.

Urgent cases should be filed promptly.
