How much maternity leave is available in Nepal?

Labour & Employment Law

Section 45 provides a pregnant worker 14 weeks of maternity leave before or after delivery. The Act requires leave to cover at least two weeks before the expected delivery and at least six weeks after delivery.

The Act provides full remuneration for 60 days, while social-security arrangements can affect how maternity benefits are funded.
