Can an employer force an employee to work overtime?

Labour & Employment Law

The Labour Act states that an employer must not compel a worker to work beyond the normal limits, subject to specified situations where failure to complete work could adversely affect life, safety or health or cause serious loss to the employer.

Overtime remains subject to statutory limits and compensation rules.
