Preserve objective evidence immediately. This can include messages, call records, CCTV, financial records, location evidence, documents and witnesses. Do not manufacture evidence or pressure the complainant.
Nepal's Penal Code states that an accused person is not treated as guilty until the offence is proved. It also separately criminalizes knowingly making a false complaint or accusation with intent to harm or harass another person.
