Who can become a member of a cooperative in Nepal?

Section 30 of the Cooperative Act sets out membership eligibility. In general, a Nepali citizen who has completed 16 years of age and meets the applicable statutory and bylaw requirements can become a member of a primary cooperative.

Different rules apply to cooperative federations, organizations and certain special categories.
