Can a cooperative delay matured savings indefinitely?

Cooperative Law

A cooperative cannot treat its repayment obligation as optional simply because it has liquidity problems. The member's right depends on the savings product terms, bylaws, applicable directives and the cooperative's financial status.

Where the institution cannot meet financial obligations, section 104 can become relevant to declaration as a troubled cooperative.
